Hurricane Response Update
10.10.2024

As you’ve seen in the news, the southeastern U.S. has been hit by multiple hurricanes less than two weeks apart. Our thoughts are with everyone directly affected by the loss of life and significant damage these storms caused.
All Schneider associates are accounted for, and while we are still assessing Winter Haven, there is no damage to other facilities.
In anticipation of – and in response to – both storms, we have been following our robust processes and carrying out plans to minimize business disruption and ensure the safety of our people. Schneider’s Crisis Management Team, which includes leaders from across the enterprise, has been working to reroute drivers, protect equipment, and communicate with associates and customers in the affected areas. We will continue to monitor the situation, take action to meet the needs of our customers and drivers, and offer solutions.
As a responsible company, we are facilitating in-kind load deliveries and Foundation donations to organizations aiding relief efforts – as well as assisting associates who have been directly affected.
Schneider is following experts for guidance on what is needed, and we are also collaborating with customers that provide important supplies. In just one example, Schneider driver Leslie Tyson delivered an in-kind load in his role on the Chewy account – see picture below. We will execute in-kind loads with an approach that aligns with specific relief initiatives, so we can use our resources to provide the greatest benefit while minimizing the burden on struggling communities. Please send questions or customer/community requests for in-kind loads to Kevin Lacombe (LacombeK@schneider.com).
We deeply appreciate the dedication and teamwork of all Schneider associates in navigating the challenges of these storms. Your collaboration and resilience have helped us uphold our core value of safety while reliably serving our customers and neighbors. We will share more information if there are any significant developments.
